On August 16, 2022, I received the gift of life - a live donor kidney transplant thanks to my selfless husband. Life on immunosuppressants hasn't been easy due to the side effects.
During my recovery, I began to hand-string teeny gemstone bracelets for myself to help with anxiety and control tremors brought on by the medicine. Little did I know that out of this "therapy" would come Lucy + Lola: Hand Strung Gem Creations.
After sharing my gems with friends and family, and being stopped several times to ask where I purchased them, I decided to turn my hand-beading into a mini side business.
Fun Fact: Lola + Lucy are the names of my two cats who were constantly by my side during my initial stage of recovery. (Pictured: Lola and Lucy)
